Cruise's 2005 win -- based on "War of the Worlds" -- is his seventh, the most of any actor since 1932, Quigley said in a news release. He has been in the Top 10 a total of 18 times.

No. 2 on the 2005 list was Johnny Depp followed by a tie in the No. 3 spot for Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt, stars of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

Vince Vaughn, who had four releases in 2005 -- "Wedding Crashers," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "Be Cool" and "Thumbsucker" -- was No. 5.

George Clooney came in at No. 6, followed by Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler and Tom Hanks.
