Sept. 5 (UPI) -- An automated signals intelligence center by Israel Aerospace Industries has achieved phase I operational capability with an undisclosed customer, IAI reports.

The center, developed by subsidiary Elta Systems, integrates and fuses all the country's SIGINT sensors at a strategic level by utilizing big data and high-throughput processing.

IAI said it is the first time such a SIGNIT center has been developed to create an Electronic Order of Battle at the national level from ground, air and other sensors.

"Using highly sophisticated algorithms and advanced planning and analysis tools, the SIGINT center is a force multiplier," said Nissim Hadas, IAI Executive vice president and ELTA president. "We are very pleased to have achieved this milestone."

IAI, in announcing the center's achievement, said benefits to the customer include increased SIGINT mission availability using ad-hoc sensors on different platforms and an increase of SIGINT "probability of intercept" and accuracy.

The system also includes enhanced mission support through planning tools, reporting tools and extensive analysis.
