Engility wins new award for continued support of defense agency

Engility Holdings has won a new contract to continue to provide technical support to the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

CHANTILLY, Va., April 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Research and Development Directorate is to receive engineering and technical assistance from Engility Holdings Inc.

Under the $248 million award, Engility will work with the DTRA directorate in the Department of Defense's Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Combat Support Agency.

Additional details about the work were not disclosed.

"This award continues a nearly 50-year partnership between Engility and DTRA to provide high-end Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive technical and acquisition program support," said Engility CEO Lynn Dugle. "DTRA performs indispensable work that safeguards the American people and we are proud to partner with them on this critical mission."

The re-compete contract is a cost-plus-fixed-fee award for one base year and four additional one-year options.
