GSA Schedule-84 award for Command Security Corp.

HERNDON, Va., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. General Services Administration has given Command Security Corp. a five-year Schedule Award for products and services.

The award is under GSA Schedule-84 (for law enforcement, security, facilities management, fire, rescue) and "prepositions Command Security to be selected and to bid on specified contracts across the federal government as an approved vendor," the company said.

The term of the award is five years.

"Command Security is very excited about receiving this GSA Schedule – 84 award, as it will provide the opportunity to expand into the federal homeland security marketplace and is directly in line with the company's long-term strategic growth plan," said Command Security Chief Executive Officer Craig P. Coy.

The award came into effect on Sept. 1.

The federal government currently spends about $4 billion for security services under this schedule, the company said.

Command Security Corp. and its Aviation Safeguards subsidiary provide uniformed security personnel, aviation security services and support security services to various industries and government.
