The NGC2P system is a tactical data link communication processor providing real-time information about friendly and enemy activity during combat operations.
Under the contract from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Northrop Grumman will provide designs in regard to obsolescence issues in the current system and then supply software and hardware system development, engineering services, as well as technology change kits.
New technology insertions will include the Link 22 secure digital radio link.

The contract is for five years with a two-year option.
Northrop's team for the project includes FUSE Integration Inc. and Technology Unlimited Group.
