
MELBOURNE, Fla., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has contracted BAE Systems to provide nuclear monitoring support to help ensure treaty compliance around the world.
British company BAE was selected for the contract to provide the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Air Force Base with nuclear monitoring support services.
Under the five-year contract, BAE says its engineers and technicians based at its Melbourne, Fla., facility will help the Technical Applications Center ensure global nuclear treaty compliance.
"This award demonstrates our long-running commitment to serving our Florida Space Coast customers," Sam Cole, BAE Systems vice president and general manager of aerospace solutions, said in a statement.
"We've been supporting Air Force Technical Applications Center for more than 15 years, and we'll continue to make significant contributions to the Air Force's critical role in protecting national security."
