MIAMI, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida -- and brother and son to two former presidents -- says he is still undecided about a 2016 presidential run.
In an interview with CBS News in Miami while visiting an area charter school, Bush said he had not made a decision but is deferring the decision until the right time which will be later this year.
He went onto say that there are a number of factors that will weigh in to his decision such as whether he could do it "joyfully" to alleviate the pessimism of the country and whether running is the right decision for his family.
In response to a question about his mother, former first lady Barbara Bush, and her public position against his potential run, he said, "she promised me she wouldn't keep saying this." Bush also made it clear that he expected his mother to continue speaking her mind.
