Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Ricky Martin will show his "tush" in Season 2 of the FX series American Crime Story.

The 46-year-old singer and actor said on Tuesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he will bare his behind for the first time on TV as Antonio D'Amico on American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace.

"I show my tush for the first time on television," he told host Ellen DeGeneres, who had seen episodes of the yet-to-be-released season.

"You sure do, and more than that," DeGeneres responded.

D'Amico was the longtime partner of Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace (Edgar Ramirez), who was killed outside his Miami Beach mansion in 1997. Versace will examine the murder and Versace's killer, Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss).

"It's an amazing series," Martin said. "Brilliantly written. Dramatic. My first scenes that I shot was when [my character] actually found [Versace's] body."

"I'm really happy to be part of this because even though so many years went by, we are still dealing with a lot of things -- as a member of the LGBT community -- that we dealt with in the '90s," he added. "For example, the killer, Andrew Cunanan ... went on a killing spree ... he [was] killing gay men."

Versace co-stars Ramirez, Criss and Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace. The season introduced the characters in a first full-length trailer in November, and will premiere Jan. 17.
