Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift surprised fans Friday by releasing the song "Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version)."
The 31-year-old singer released the new version of "Wildest Dreams," a song that originally appeared on her 2014 album 1989 amid the new "slow zoom" trend on TikTok.
"Someone said slow zoom makes you look like the main character I said make it Taylor's Version pls," Swift wrote on TikTok.
"If you guys want to use my version of wildest dreams for the slow zoom trend, here she is!" she said.
Swift released the full song on streaming platforms.
Swift released a rerecorded version of her 2008 album Fearless in April. She will released Red (Taylor's Version), a recorded version of her 2012 album Red, on Nov. 19.
Swift shared a track list for Red (Taylor's Version) in August. The album will feature collaborations with Chris Stapleton, Phoebe Bridgers, Mark Foster and Ed Sheeran.
Swift announced in November 2020 that she would be rerecording her old music after Scooter Braun sold her master recordings to equity company Shamrock Holdings. She signed a new record deal with Universal Music Group in 2018.
