4.8- magnitude quake shakes San Isidro, Philippines

MANILA, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- A 4.8-magnitude earthquake Tuesday struck near San Isidro, Philippines, the U.S. Geological Survey said but there was no immediate report of injury or damage.

The quake at a depth of 42.7 miles occurred just northwest of San Isidro in Bohol province in central Philippines province and 398 miles southeast of the capital Manila.

It was in the same region that a 7.2-magnitude earthquake killed at least 173 people last month.

Tuesday's quake also occurred south of the region where Typhoon Haiyan inflicted a heavy death toll and caused massive destruction since making a landfall last Friday.
