Judge charges three men with plotting terror attacks making bombs

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A judge charged a Palestinian and two Lebanese men Thursday with planning to carry out terror attacks across the country, judicial officials said.

The three men, arrested earlier this week by the Internal Security Forces Information Branch, were also charged with arms possession and making bombs, The Daily Star reported.

Lebanon has been hit recently by a series of bomb attacks linked to the war in Syria, The Daily Star reported.

Lebanese Army chief Gen. Jean Kahwagi said the military is pursuing terrorists involved in creating and setting off car bombs.
