KABUL, Afghanistan, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- A roadside bomb in western Afghanistan has killed five members of a family, officials say.
The explosion in Farah province killed two women, two children and a man, Khaama Press reported Saturday.

Ahmad Fawad Askari, a spokesman for the provincial security headquarters, blamed the Taliban for planting the improvised explosive device, which he said was intended for Afghan and coalition security forces.
