Bombing kills Afghan security officers

KABUL, Afghanistan, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- A suicide bomber killed at least seven Afghan intelligence officers Saturday in Kandahar province, officials said.

Javid Faisal, a spokesman for the provincial government, said the bombing occurred near the National Directorate of Security office in Haruf district.

In another incident, five security guards employed by a private company were killed by coordinated bombings in Zabul province Saturday.

No one has taken responsibility for either bombing.
