PARIS, March 9 (UPI) -- Dozens of protesters staged a sit-in at Fouquet's, the Paris restaurant where French President Nicholas Sarkozy celebrated his 2007 election victory.
The protesters, many of whom said they were unemployed, burst into the pricey Champs-Elysees restaurant Wednesday and refused to leave, saying they were trying to draw attention to the plight of the jobless. They said presidential candidates must take serious steps to tackle unemployment in France, thelocal.fr reported.
