WATERLOO, Ontario, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A helicopter crashed into a pond near the Waterloo, Ontario, airport Monday, killing a woman and seriously injuring a man on board, authorities said.
The victims' names had not been released and investigators had not determined what caused the 11:30 a.m. accident, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

Rescuers had a difficult time because of the swampy conditions in the pond where the helicopter went down, emergency officials told the CBC.
The aircraft belonged to Great Lakes Helicopter, a private flight-training and charter company based at the Waterloo airport, the network said.
