MONTERREY, Mexico, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Mexican authorities have released sketches of three suspects in the arson attack on a casino in Monterrey that killed at least 52 people.
The suspects are believed to be part of a crew of gunmen who stormed into the Casino Royale Thursday, poured gasoline around the interior and set in on fire, leaving dozens of patrons to their fates.
Mexico's attorney general's office is also offering a 30 million peso ($2.4 million) reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects, CNN reported.
The attack was believed to be part of a feud between rival drug traffickers.
"It is evident that we are not facing common criminals," President Calderon said Friday. "We are facing true terrorists that have crossed all the limits."
CNN said 1,500 Mexican troops have been dispatched to Monterrey to beef up security as some analysts say traffickers are turning to terrorism.
"Without a doubt, what this act and others like it are trying to do is provoke terror in the population," said Jose Luis Pineyro, a professor at the Autonomous Metropolitan University in Azcapotzalco. "It seems like they were trying to have the largest number of victims possible."
