Chinese president meets loyal Communists

ZHONGNANHAI, China, July 3 (UPI) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao marked the 90th anniversary of the Community Party of China Saturday by meeting with role-model party members, officials say.

Hu and Vice President Xi Jinping attended a symposium in Zhongnanhai to commemorate the founding of the party, Xinhua reported.

The symposium was made up of representatives of grassroots CPC organizations and high-ranking party members, whom Hu urged to be "visionary and down-to-earth," to serve the people in a dedicated way, and to act as leaders through the practice of core socialist values.
