MOSCOW, July 5 (UPI) -- An explosion at a military firing range in Siberia killed six military personnel, police officials said.
The blast occurred Saturday near Biysk in the Altai Territory during the disposal of outdated explosive material, RIA Novosti reported Monday.

Russian defense officials did not provide details of the incident.
The news agency said the Siberian blast was the fourth deadly accident involving the disposal of military explosives in the last eight months.
