NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Authorities in southwestern Pennsylvania say they are investigating how nude photographs of local high school girls ended up on a pornographic website.
Andrew Lisiecki, police chief of North Huntingdon, said the photos showed five or six female students from Norwin High School in various stages of undress, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Wednesday.
Administrators at Norwin High School learned of the images Oct. 30 and notified police, spokesman Jonathan Szish said in an email.
Lisiecki said his department has called in investigators from the state attorney general's office.
The website has been shut down and the files deleted.
The police chief said the photos were likely copied from the students' social media sites and re-posted on the pornographic website.
