Turbulence hits American Airlines flight, injures passengers

MIAMI, July 11 (UPI) -- About 15 seconds of turbulence shook American Airlines flight 1780 from Aruba to Miami, injuring several passengers and hospitalizing two flight attendants.

The Boeing 757 held 185 passengers and took off from Aruba around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and ran into turbulence about 30 minutes later, The Miami Herald reported.

The plane landed safely at 6:06 p.m. in Miami and crew members and passengers were treated at the gate.
