Fisher, Buttafuoco separate from spouses

NEW YORK, May 4 (UPI) -- Former tabloid regulars Amy Fisher and Joey Buffafuoco have both split from their spouses, The New York Post reported Friday.

Fisher, 32, served seven years in prison and gained national notoriety as the "Long Island Lolita" when as a 17-year-old she shot Buttafuoco's first wife, Mary Jo Buttafuoco in 1992. She and her husband, Lou Bellera, 55, have separated, sources told the Post.

Buttafuoco's wife of two years, Evanka, told the Post she's divorcing her husband, who just finished a three-month jail term in California on a weapons charge.

"All I can say is two words: I'm devastated," she told the newspaper.

"Entertainment Tonight/The Insider" taped a jailhouse interview with Buttafuoco in which he said he had contacted Fisher "several times" from jail.

"There's definitely, um, communication there," he said, the Post reported.

The interview was scheduled to air Friday night.
