'Denver Three' to hold town-hall meetings

DENVER, May 21 (UPI) -- Three people who claim they were kicked out of President Bush meetings have said they will host meetings to raise awareness of the alleged practice.

The "Denver Three," Alex Young, Leslie Weise and Karen Bauer, say they were escorted out of President Bush's Social Security forum in Denver on March 21 by a man posing as a federal agent. The three, joined by several people claiming similar experiences in other states, told a conference call with the media that they plan to host a series of meetings in the states where the incidents allegedly occurred, the Denver Post reported Saturday.

The participants said their removals from the meetings were prompted by T-shirts or bumper stickers opposing Bush or the Republican Party.

"When the same thing happens in four different states, it's not an isolated incident," Young said. "It is a policy."

The U.S. Secret Service has been investigating the trio's removal from the Denver event.

The group did not provide details on the timing and location of the planned meetings, but said they intend to hold them soon.
