Qureia: Larsen equalled victim, aggressor

GAZA, July 15 (UPI) -- Palestinian Authority Premier Ahmed Qureia said Thursday he was astonished by U.N. Middle East envoy Terji Roed-Larsen's report on the region.

Qureia expressed "sorrow and astonishment" over what he called Roed-Larsen's equating of "Palestinian victim with the Israeli aggressor."

Roed-Larsen criticized both Israel and the Palestinians for derailing the so-called "road map" to peace, adding that the Palestinian Authority is in danger of collapse.

PA officials said they contacted U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Anan asking clarification for Larsen's critical report.
