Goh also met with U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell to discuss regional developments in the Middle East and South East Asia.

Iraq and the war on terrorism dominated discussions during the Prime Minister's visit to Washington. Goh's message was plain - stay the course in Iraq or risk grave consequences.

This is a message he is likely to repeat to British Prime Minister Tony Blair, whom he will meet in London after leaving Washington D.C.
