ATLANTA, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- A packed flight from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport to San Francisco was delayed for hours Sunday over a sticker affixed to the cabin door.
The AirTran Airbus A320 was being prepared to take off when an employee saw a sticker reading "Terrorism Equals War" on the cabin door's exterior, CNN reported.
The captain took the plane back to the gate and the 156 passengers were ordered to disembark and have their luggage re-screened by security, airline spokesman Tad Hutcheson said.
About three hours later, the passengers, including a man who admitted slapping the sticker on the door, were allowed back on the plane, Hutcheson told CNN.
The flight departed more than four hours behind schedule, Hutchenson said.
"It was a practical joke taken a little too far," Hutcheson said.
No charges were filed against the passenger.
