Incumbent Alexander leading in La. 5th

BATON ROUGE, La., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- In the Louisiana 5th Congressional District race, Democrat Rodney Alexander was leading with 52,061 votes. Republican Lee Fletcher had 44,634 votes; Republican Clyde Holloway had 42,019 votes; Republican Robert Barnham had 33,564 votes; Democrat Sam Houston Melton had 4,499 votes; Republican Jack Wright had 3,619 votes; and Libertarian Vinson Mouser had 1,127 votes.

The Louisiana Secretary of State's Office says that's with 718 of 746 precincts reporting.
