June 9 (UPI) -- Neymar Jr. has taken plenty of sensational free kicks, but none were like the one he made on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The Brazilian F.C. Barcelona superstar was on the show Wednesday to show off his terrific touch.

"If you are a soccer fan you are undoubtedly familiar with the superhuman known as Neymar Jr.," Kimmel told the audience. The late night TV host then revealed that Neymar Jr. was on the roof of the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles.

Kimmel issued a challenge to his guest. He asked the Brazilian athlete if he could shoot a soccer ball from the roof of his studio, across Hollywood Blvd. and into a soccer goal on the top of the Hollywood and Highland Center.

Neymar Jr. quickly obliged to the task. He took a few steps back and fired his first shot. That attempt was short and fell to the closed street below.

His second attempt also failed, hitting the side of the building.

His third try was a thing of beauty. Neymar Jr. ripped the kick sky-high, as it bent into the left side of the net, beating the goalkeeper.

The 25-year-old had 13 goals in La Liga this season and 20 overall in 2016 for Barcelona.

Neymar Jr. is worth $90 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Forbes estimated he took in $37 million this year, mostly tied to various big-name endorsement deals.

Neymar Jr. attended Game 2 of the NBA Finals Sunday in Oakland, sitting next to Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
