Kevin Love, LeBron James show off incredibly athletic outlet pass

By Alex Butler

May 22 (UPI) -- LeBron James and Kevin Love showed off one of the best outlet passes you will see during the Cleveland Cavaliers' most recent win against the Boston Celtics.

The featured feed occurred with about 3:34 remaining in the first quarter of the Cavaliers' 111-102 victory in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals. Love pulled down a rebound after a Celtics miss. He fell to his feet and immediately turned around to scan the court. He decided to throw one of his infamous full-court outlet passes.

James had already sprinted the length of the floor. Love's long pass fell between the four-time NBA MVP and two Celtics defenders, but James managed to make a miraculous catch in traffic. The Cavaliers superstar looked like an NFL tight end bringing down a touchdown in the end zone.

He stopped his forward progress and jumped back up for a layup off of the backboard, putting the Cavaliers ahead 23-15.

The Cavaliers star was 4-for-4 with 11 points in the opening frame. He finished with a game-high 44 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Love had nine points, 11 rebounds and three assists in the victory.

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 25 points.

"Obviously we were a lot better defensively," James told reporters. "Flying around and making them take contested shots and making them make the extra pass and still being able to fly around. Our communication level has been up obviously in the last two games."

"So as loud as it is in the Garden, we've got to be able to transfer that energy and that communication in Game 5 in order for us to be a lot better than we were in Game 1 and 2."

Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals tips off at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at TD Garden in Boston.

James is average 32 points, nine assists and 6.8 rebounds per game in the series. Love is posting 15.3 points, 12 rebounds and three assists per game against the Celtics.
