May 1 (UPI) -- Houston Rockets star James Harden used his off day from the NBA playoffs to enjoy a mini helmet filled with ice cream at a Houston Astros game.

Harden devoured the delicacy in the sixth inning of the Astros' 2-1 win against the New York Yankees Monday at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.

Cameras caught "The Beard" walking down to his seat during the bottom half of the inning, cradling the little red hat like he does a basketball, right before he dunks. He held a miniature spoon in his left hand, but didn't do his signature stir the pot celebration with said ice cream.

Harden appeared to be sitting by himself, returning to his seat just in time to see a Carlos Correa at-bat. "The Beard" also attended a game in 2015, where he threw out the first pitch. He tossed the offering to his Astros bearded counterpart: Dallas Keuchel.

Eat ice cream in mini helmet … win MVP? 🤔 @jharden13

Harden also attended the 2017 MLB playoffs, watching the Astros' run to the World Series.

The Rockets shooting guard averaged a league-high 30.4 points per game this season. He also posted 8.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds per bout, helping the Rockets to the best record in the NBA.

Harden scored a game-high 41 points, leading Houston to a 110-96 win in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series against the Utah Jazz Sunday at the Toyota Center in Houston.

The Rockets host the Jazz in Game 2 at 8 p.m. Wednesday, before leaving the city for Game 3 on Friday in Salt Lake City, Utah.
