DALLAS, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki highlighted a balanced attack with 28 points Sunday and the Dallas Mavericks broke a two-game skid with a 116-106 win over Detroit.
Jose Calderon added 17 points and Devin Harris netted 14 for the Mavs, who opened a four-game homestand with a victory.

Vince Carter (13 points) and Monta Ellis (11) also reached double figures.
Brandon Jennings supplied 26 with seven assists for the Pistons, who dropped a fourth straight.
Josh Smith put in 25 points and Greg Monroe finished with 20 and nine rebounds.
