NBA: New York 111, Milwaukee 107

MILWAUKEE, April 11 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony came through with a big performance in a big game Wednesday, helping push New York to a 111-107 win over Milwaukee.

With a playoff atmosphere in place throughout the contest, the Knicks boosted their lead over the Bucks to two games in the battle for the Eastern Conference's final post-season berth.

New York held the Bucks without a point for the final 1:12 and Steve Novak put the Knicks three points in front by making two free throws with 19 seconds remaining.

After Brandon Jennings missed a 3-point try for the Bucks, Iman Shumpert hit 1-of-2 from the line for New York with 9 seconds left to make it a two-possession game.

Anthony scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Tyson Chandler made all of his six field goal attempts and all seven tries from the line while scoring 19 points.

New York overcame a 35-point effort from Monta Ellis. Jennings had 22 points and Mike Dunleavy 19.
