NBA: Phoenix 128, Minnesota 122

PHOENIX, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Seven free throws by Steve Nash during the closing 32 seconds Wednesday clinched a 128-122 victory for the Phoenix Suns over Minnesota.

The Suns ended a three-game skid by downing the Timberwolves for the sixth straight time.

Minnesota, seeking its second road win of the season, had a seven-point lead early in the fourth period before the Suns went on a 22-8 run.

Jason Richardson led the Suns with 29 points while both Grant Hill and Channing Frye had 21. Nash had 19 assists to go with his 11 points.

The teams combined to make 94-of-190 shots from the field.

Kevin Love had 23 points and 16 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who have lost nine in a row on the road. Minnesota plays its next three games away from home.
