NBA: Memphis 104, Phoenix 98 (OT)

PHOENIX, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Zach Randolph gave Memphis a four-point lead in overtime Wednesday and the Grizzlies held on to defeat Phoenix 104-98.

Memphis let a 14-point lead get away in the fourth period and made it into overtime only because Rudy Gay hit a 3-pointer with a second left in regulation.

The Grizzlies then outscored the Suns 12-6 in the extra period to snap a four-game losing streak. Phoenix dropped its second in a row to fall back to the .500 mark.

After Randolph's turnaround jumper with 9 seconds to go gave Memphis a 102-98 lead, Steve Nash missed a 3-point attempt for the Suns. O.J. Mayo finished the scoring by hitting two free throws for the Grizzlies with 4 seconds remaining.

Randolph had a big night with 34 points and 17 rebounds. He made 15-of-19 from the field. Gay added 22 points.

Phoenix was led by Goran Dragic with 17 points.
