NBA: Golden State 108, Minnesota 99

OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Monta Ellis scored 34 points Tuesday to lead the Golden State Warriors past the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-99.

Reggie Williams added 26 and Dorell Wright had a dozen to help the Warriors end a seven-game losing streak.

The Warriors overcame a slow start with a 37-point second quarter and handed the Timberwolves their 10th loss in their last dozen games.

Darko Milicic led Minnesota with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Michael Beasley scored 19, and Kevin Love turned in a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

The game remained close until early in the fourth quarter when the Warriors took an 81-80 lead and then pulled away. Ellis scored on a pair of free throws and a jumper, and Williams followed up with a dunk on a fast break to put Golden State ahead 100-88 with 3:45 to play.
