NBA: Miami 106, Golden State 84

OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 11 (UPI) -- LeBron James scored 17 points during a game-breaking third quarter Friday and the Miami Heat pulled away for a 106-84 win over Golden State.

The Heat won their seventh straight, getting 34 points from Dwyane Wade and 25 from James. It is the longest winning streak of the season for Miami, which has rebounded from early adversity to take a half-game lead over Orlando at the top of the Southeast Division.

Miami had only a two-point lead at halftime, then made 84 percent of its shots in the third period while outscoring the Warriors by 16 points.

James had three 3-pointers among his 17 in that quarter and the Heat made 9-of-14 for the game from beyond the arc.

Monta Ellis led Golden State with 20. Miami will close out a four-game western swing Saturday in Sacramento.
