NHL: Boston 3, New Jersey 0

BOSTON, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas bounced back from a bad start to record his fourth shutout of the year Monday in the Boston Bruins' 3-0 win over New Jersey.

Thomas, who suffered his first loss of the year Saturday against Ottawa, got back on the winning track against the reeling Devils, turning aside all 28 shots he saw for his 21st career whitewash.

The Bruins netminder improved to 9-1-0 on the season with the victory.

Boston got goals from Michael Ryder, Nathan Horton and Blake Wheeler, and two assists from Mark Recchi, breaking a two-game losing streak.

Martin Brodeur made 21 saves for the Devils, who went 0-for-3 on the power play for their fifth loss in seven games.
