MLB: Texas 6, Los Angeles Angels 2

ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Josh Hamilton smacked a two-run homer and Michael Young delivered three hits Saturday in the Texas Rangers' 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Hamilton added a sacrifice fly and Young drove in a run for the American League West champs, who took a 2-1 lead in their regular season-ending, four-game series against the Angels.

C.J. Wilson (15-8) earned the victory after holding the Angels to two runs on four hits over five innings.

Los Angeles starter Ervin Santana (17-10) was touched for five runs on nine hits and three walks in 6 1/3 innings.

The Angels got RBI singles from Torii Hunter and Howie Kendrick in the first inning.
