MLB: Texas 3, Los Angeles Angels 2

ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Vladimir Guerrero drove in his second run of the game with an eighth-inning single Thursday, giving the Texas Rangers a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

Guerrero left the Angels in free agency and signed with Texas this year, eventually becoming a key factor in the Rangers replacing Los Angeles as AL West champions.

Guerrero doubled home a run in the fourth and Texas had a 2-1 advantage behind Cliff Lee before Peter Bourjos hit a homer in the eighth to tie it.

Nelson Cruz delivered a one-out double in the bottom of the eighth off Jordan Walden (0-1) before Guerrero singled on a 1-2 pitch.

Lee, making his final start before the playoffs, allowed only an unearned run on four hits without a walk in seven innings. He left with the lead, but the victory went to Darren O'Day (6-2) despite his giving up the tying homer by Bourjos.

Neftali Felix came on in the ninth for his 39th save. He has not given up a run in 13 straight appearances dating to Aug. 22.
