MIAMI, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Jason LaRue's two-run double put St. Louis ahead in the seventh inning Wednesday and the Cardinals held on for a 6-4 victory over the Florida Marlins.
LaRue hit a drive to center that scored Skip Schumaker and Albert Pujols, giving the Cardinals a 4-2 lead. Schumaker and Pujols had both singled and advanced on a fly ball.

Troy Glaus had four hits and an RBI for the Cards.
Mike Jacobs drove in both Florida runs.
Braden Looper (11-9) got the win, allowing two runs and five hits in seven innings. Looper struck out five batters and walked one.
Renyel Pinto (2-4) worked just a third of an inning but was tagged with the loss. Pinto gave up two runs and two hits.
