MLB: Houston 8, St. Louis 2

ST. LOUIS, May 27 (UPI) -- Hunter Pence had five hits and two RBI Tuesday to lead the Houston Astros to an 8-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Miguel Tejada hit a two-run homer for the Astros. Carlos Lee had two RBI, and Kaz Matsui had three hits and scored two runs.

Shawn Chacon (2-0) gave up two runs on seven hits and struck out seven in seven innings..

Albert Pujols was 4-for-4 with a solo homer and Brian Barton also homered for the Cards.

Braden Looper (6-4) took the loss after allowing eight runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.
