MLB: Chi. Cubs 4, Philadelphia 1

PHILADELPHIA, May 13 (UPI) -- Ted Lilly allowed one earned run and three hits over eight innings Sunday afternoon as the Chicago Cubs beat Philadelphia, 4-1.

Aramis Ramirez, Cesar Izturis, Mark De Rosa and Matt Murton all drove in a run, while Murton and Izturis had three hits apiece for the Cubs, who broke a three-game losing streak.

Lilly (3-2) walked one batter and struck out six.

Ryan Dempster recorded his eighth save of the season.

Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee left the game in the third inning with neck spasms and is day-to-day.

Philadelphia's lone run scored on Ramirez' throwing error in the bottom of the eighth.

Abraham Nunez had two of the four hits for the Phillies, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Losing pitcher Jon Lieber (1-2) surrendered two runs -- one earned -- and nine hits in eight innings, with one walk and five strikeouts.
