MLB: Boston 11, N.Y. Yankees 4

NEW YORK, April 27 (UPI) -- Julio Lugo hit a solo homer and knocked in three runs Friday night as the Boston Red Sox trounced the New York Yankees, 11-4.

Boston overcame an early 4-2 deficit.

Kevin Youkilis clubbed a two-run homer; Lugo had three hits and three runs; Youkilis had two runs, two hits and three RBI; David Ortiz hit two RBI singles; Mike Lowell drove in one run; one run scored on a wild pitch; and Coco Crisp had a run and two hits for the Red Sox, who rose to 4-0 against the Yankees to date.

Winner Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-2) gave up four earned runs and five hits in six innings, with four walks and seven strikeouts.

Johnny Damon had two RBI, Derek Jeter had three hits and one RBI, and Jorge Posada added an RBI single for the Yankees, who last lost seven in a row to close the 2000 season.

Loser Andy Pettitte (1-1) gave up five earned runs in 4 2/3 innings.
