NEW YORK, May 18 (UPI) -- Jorge Posada had one run, two hits and two RBI Wednesday night as the New York Yankees beat Texas, 4-3.

Derek Jeter had one run and two hits, raising his batting average to .335; Alex Rodriguez had one run and two hits; while both Robinson Cano and Bernie Williams drove in a run for the Yankees (23-15), who have won four of their last six games.

Winner Chien-Ming Wang (4-1) scattered three runs and six hits over six innings.

Mariano Rivera pitched a scoreless ninth for his eighth save.

Gary Matthews Jr. hit a two-run homer; Kevin Mench had one hit and one RBI; and Gerald Laird had one run and two hits for the Rangers (20-19).

Texas has split its last four games.

Loser Kameron Loe (2-4) gave up four runs and nine hits in five innings.

The Rangers' Hank Blalock went 0-for-4, ending an 11-game hitting streak.
