NHL: Atlanta 6, Florida 4

ATLANTA, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Peter Bondra netted two goals and Marc Savard added a goal and two assists Saturday as the Atlanta Thrashers beat the Florida Panthers, 6-4.

Ilya Kovalchuk broke a six-game scoring drought with a goal in the second period to put Atlanta ahead. Kari Lehtonen made 28 saves as the Thrashers halted a seven-game losing streak.

Nathan Horton, Rob Globke, Jon Sim and Chris Gratton all scored for Florida, which lost for the sixth time in its last nine games. Roberto Luongo allowed six goals on 27 shots in the loss.
