NBA: Detroit 105; New York 79

NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Richard Hamilton scored 26 points and Rasheed Wallace added 23 Thursday night as Detroit trounced the New York Knicks, 105-79.

Hamilton also had four rebounds and six assists; Wallace added four rebounds and two assists; Tayshaun Prince had 18 points and five rebounds; reserve Carlos Delfino had 11 points, five rebounds and two assists while Chauncey Billups, who was held to just two points, handed out 13 assists for the Pistons (32-5), who also went 12-for-25 on three-point shots.

Eddy Curry had 26 points and eight rebounds; Channing Frye had 15 points and seven rebounds and Nate Robinson scored 11 points for New York (13-25), which has lost four in a row since opening 2006 with six straight wins.

The Pistons out-rebounded the Knicks, 40-35.
