NHL: San Jose 5, Toronto 4

TORONTO, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Patrick Marleau had a goal and two assists Saturday as the San Jose Sharks posted a 5-4 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Vesa Toskala made 24 saves for the Sharks, who won their second straight game after ending a 10-game losing streak Friday night in Buffalo. Toskala was recalled earlier in the day because starting goaltender Evgeni Nabokov left Friday's win with a groin injury.

Alyn McCauley scored two goals and Joe Thornton had two assists -- and now has four points in two games since going to the Sharks in a trade with Boston earlier in the week.

Ed Belfour allowed five goals on 27 shots as Toronto lost for only the second time in the last five games. With the loss, Belfour remains tied with Terry Sawchuk for second on the all-time wins list with 447.
