MLB: Detroit 5, Baltimore 3

BALTIMORE, May 28 (UPI) -- Omar Infante hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning Saturday to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 5-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Craig Monroe also homered and Ivan Rodriguez had two hits and an RBI for the Tigers.

Jason Johnson (3-4), who had lost his previous three decisions, worked eight innings Saturday. He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk.

Miguel Tejada and Rafael Palmeiro both homered for Baltimore, but the AL East-leading Orioles lost for the second game in a row. Melvin Mora added an RBI for the Orioles.
