World's largest pumpkin mosaic honors 'Nightmare Before Christmas'

Oct. 23 (UPI) -- A pumpkin farm in England celebrated the 30th anniversary of the animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas with a mosaic measuring 2,081 square feet.

Guinness World Records confirmed Sunnyfields Farm in Southampton earned the record for the largest cucurbita mosaic (image) when it arranged more than 10,000 pumpkins and squash into the shape of Jack Skellington singing "Jack's Lament" from the 1993 film.

The Nelson family, who own the farm, said it took a team of five people about 10 hours to arrange the gourds.

A Guinness World Records adjudicator inspected the mosaic and presented a certificate to farm founders Ian and Louise Nelson and their son, Tom Nelson.
