May 21 (UPI) -- Police in Florida showed off some unusual cowboy skills when they lassoed a loose alligator found wandering in a city street.
The Winter Haven Police Department posted photos to Facebook showing police officers capturing an alligator found wandering through traffic on Mandolin Boulevard.
The post said Officer Avery was responsible for wielding the lasso that ensnared the 5-foot alligator's jaws.
"Relocation to the local pond was a success!" the department said.
