May 18 (UPI) -- A big alligator strolling through a Florida neighborhood stopped to check out a new home under construction and was caught on camera by a worker.

Bean Drywall, a company performing work on the new home in Port St. Lucie, posted a video to Facebook showing the large gator's unexpected visit right outside a bedroom video.

"The hazards of working in Florida!" the Facebook post said.

Brian Bean, owner of the company, said the worker was going through the house when he looked out through the window and saw cars stopping to check out the gator.

Bean said the employee made sure all of the doors and windows of the home where closed as the alligator made its way to a planter by the front door.

The alligator had wandered off on its own by the time animal control officers arrived on the scene, Bean said.
